About Lori
“San Francisco has given my family so much. I love this city and have dedicated my life to advocating for the things that make it such a special place to live.”
No one fights for SF like Lori
Lori and her husband John raised their two daughters, proud fourth generation San Franciscans, right here in District 2. She built her family and community in this district and has spent decades advocating for neighborhoods across San Francisco.
Lori has worked with mayors, supervisors, and department heads across the political spectrum to address our city’s most urgent challenges and deliver results.
Through her leadership with the Cow Hollow Association, RescueSF and Neighborhoods United SF, Lori has shown she can get things done. She’s been a consistent voice for San Francisco’s neighborhoods: protecting their livability, supporting their residents, and ensuring they have a seat at the table.
Lori doesn’t wait for someone else to solve a problem, she takes action.
Now she’s running for Supervisor to do what she does best – represent and deliver for her community.
As President of the Cow Hollow Association, Lori:
Formed CHA’s first Safety Committee, co-chaired by a CHA board member and retired SFPD officer, to improve communication between neighbors, SFPD, and city agencies.
Partnered with local police to address car break-ins, package thefts, graffiti, and home burglaries.
Launched monthly Cow Hollow Clean-Ups in partnership with Refuse Refuse to keep our streets clean, safe, and welcoming.
Coordinated CHA’s Neighborhood Design Guidelines committee to support §311 review of development projects and facilitate productive communication between neighbors.
Coordinated CHA’s review process to balance growth with respect for neighbors and scale.
Oversaw long-term beautification projects, including tree planting, landscaping, and sidewalk improvements to keep our neighborhood inviting and thriving.
As Co-Founder of Rescue SF, Lori:
Brought together a citywide coalition of neighborhood leaders, service providers, and homeless advocates to restore safety, compassion, and accountability to San Francisco’s homelessness response.
Advocated for the expansion of shelter and treatment beds, the creation of safe sleeping and cabin sites, and stronger coordination between city departments.
Encouraged City Hall to implement performance management systems to track results and make city agencies more effective.
Worked to ensure neighborhoods like Cow Hollow and the Marina are safe and welcoming while helping those in crisis get the care and housing they need.
As Co-Founder of NUSF, Lori:
United more than 60 neighborhood, tenant, small-business and affordable housing advocates to demand data-driven, community-based planning, not top-down dictates from Sacramento.
Sounded the alarm on City Hall’s and Sacramento’s upzoning mandates that would double or triple height limits along Lombard, Chestnut, Union, and Fillmore, transforming 4-story human scale, sunny corridors into 8- to 14-story walls.
Testified before city boards and mobilized residents to protect our small businesses and renters from displacement and speculation.
Pushed for practical amendments to exclude occupied buildings from upzoning, ensuring housing solutions don’t come at the expense of those already living here.
Lori’s Vision
“District 2 is one of the most vibrant, livable, and iconic parts of San Francisco. From our waterfront and parks to our neighborhood commercial streets and our close-knit communities, this district represents the best of what our city can be.
As Supervisor, I will work to keep District 2 as a place where people feel safe walking down their streets and where families, young adults, and seniors can continue to live and thrive.
I will focus on public safety, supporting local businesses, and housing policies that help us grow while preserving our neighborhoods that make this city so special.
I will continue to work with residents and city departments to make our streets cleaner, our government more transparent, and our communities stronger. We can lead the way in showing how San Francisco can grow responsibly, govern effectively, and deliver results that people can see and feel.
Together, we can build a future for District 2 that reflects the best of San Francisco - a city that is safe, clean, beautiful, and full of opportunity for everyone.”
“Join me in shaping the future of District 2 and the San Francisco we love.”
